Medisopt Drops (5ml)
Medisopt Drops is a combination ophthalmic solution formulated to lower elevated intraocular pressure in patients with ocular conditions.
Dorzolamide reversibly inhibits carbonic anhydrase II in the ciliary processes, decreasing the secretion of aqueous humor, while timolol non-selectively blocks beta-adrenergic receptors to concurrently decrease aqueous humor production. This dual therapeutic pathway reduces intraocular pressure, mitigating mechanical stress on the optic nerve head and slowing progressive visual field degradation.
Purpose
It is indicated for the reduction of elevated intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension who are insufficiently responsive to topical beta-blockers alone.
Ingredients
Dorzolamide + Timolol
