Salicylic acid selectively hydrolyzes intercellular desmosomes to facilitate rapid desquamation of heavily keratinized cells, simultaneously penetrating deep into the lipophilic sebaceous unit to dissolve trapped lipids and follicular debris. This targeted comedolytic action minimizes localized micro-comedone formation, balances hyper-keratolytic pathways, and suppresses secondary bacterial proliferation within the pilosebaceous structure.

Purpose

It is indicated for the topical management of acne vulgaris, blackheads, whiteheads, excess sebaceous secretion, and uneven skin texture associated with congested pores.

Warnings

- For external topical application only; completely avoid direct contact with the eyes, eyelids, oral mucous membranes, and open wounds.\n- Always apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher during the day while using this serum, as it increases solar sensitivity.\n- Discontinue application immediately if you experience progressive chemical burning, severe localized swelling, or structural skin cracking.

Side Effects

- You will likely feel a mild, transient stinging or warm tingling sensation immediately upon cutaneous application.\n- Localized skin peeling, superficial dryness, light flaking, or minor redness are common during the initial weeks of therapy.\n- Overuse or combining with harsh physical scrubs can lead to an irritated, compromised skin barrier and compensatory oil production.
