Rucid Syrup is an antacid suspension containing Aluminum Hydroxide, Magnesium Hydroxide, and Simethicone that neutralizes excess stomach acid and relieves associated symptoms. Simethicone additionally helps in breaking up gas bubbles, providing relief from bloating and flatulence.

Purpose

To neutralize stomach acid and relieve heartburn, acidity, bloating, and gas.

Warnings

Do not use for more than 2 weeks without medical supervision if symptoms persist.|Aluminum-containing antacids may cause constipation; magnesium may cause loose stools.|May interfere with absorption of other medications; take other drugs at least 2 hours apart.|Use with caution in patients with kidney disease.

Side Effects

Constipation or diarrhea depending on Aluminum to Magnesium ratio sensitivity.|Nausea or chalky taste may occur in some patients.|Long-term use may lead to low phosphate levels (hypophosphatemia).|Excessive use can cause alkalosis in patients with kidney impairment.
