Warnings

Strictly contraindicated in pregnancy due to high risk of birth defects (teratogenicity).|Female patients must use two effective contraceptive methods during treatment and for one month after.|Regular liver function tests and blood lipid monitoring are required during therapy.|Avoid blood donation during treatment and for one month after stopping.

Side Effects

Severe skin and lip dryness (cheilitis) is extremely common during treatment.|Increased sensitivity to sunlight; sunscreen use is essential.|May cause elevated liver enzymes and blood triglyceride levels.|Mood changes or depression have been reported in rare cases.
