An oral anticoagulant tablet used to reduce the risk of stroke and prevent blood clots.
Apxan 5mg Tablets contain Apixaban, a highly selective and reversible direct factor Xa inhibitor that acts as an oral anticoagulant. It reduces thrombin generation and thrombus development, helping prevent dangerous blood clots in the circulatory system.
Purpose
Used for the prevention and treatment of deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, and stroke in high-risk patients.

Warnings
Strictly contraindicated in patients with active pathological bleeding or severe liver disease associated with coagulopathy.
Use with extreme caution if you are undergoing spinal anesthesia, spinal puncture, or major surgical procedures due to risk of epidural hematoma.
Do not stop taking this medication abruptly without consulting your doctor, as discontinuation increases the risk of stroke and blood clots.
Inform your doctor about all concurrent medications, particularly other blood thinners, NSAIDs, or antiplatelet agents.
Side Effects
Increased tendency to bleed easily, including nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or prolonged bleeding from minor cuts.
Increased bruising or formation of localized hematomas under the skin.
Gastrointestinal issues such as nausea, indigestion, or stomach bleeding.
Rare occurrences of blood in the urine (hematuria) or anemia due to blood loss.
