Bioferin 10ml is a high-strength macromolecular iron complex designed for rapid intravenous administration to correct profound iron deficiency anemias when oral iron therapy is ineffective or clinically unfeasible. It rapidly releases elemental iron directly into the reticuloendothelial system, bypassing the gastrointestinal tract to rebuild depleted hemoglobin levels and internal iron reserves.

Purpose

Delivers specialized elemental iron via parenteral route to normalize hemoglobin levels and replenish internal iron stores.

Warnings

Must be administered strictly by qualified healthcare professionals in environments equipped to manage acute anaphylactic shock. Contraindicated in patients suffering from iron overload syndromes, hemochromatosis, or non-iron deficiency related anemias. Monitor the patient closely for at least 30 minutes following the completion of the intravenous infusion for signs of hypersensitivity. Avoid mixing or co-administering this intravenous complex with any oral iron preparations as oral absorption will be severely suppressed.

Side Effects

Transient nausea, abdominal discomfort, or an altered metallic taste. Injection site reactions including pain, localized swelling, or skin discoloration. Temporary flushing, headaches, or dizziness. Mild fluctuations in blood pressure or sudden shivering.
