Bynevol 5mg (28 Tablet / Pack) is an oral beta-blocker medication containing nebivolol, prescribed for the management of essential hypertension and chronic heart failure. It works through a dual mechanism: it acts as a highly selective antagonist on peripheral beta-1 adrenergic receptors to reduce heart rate and myocardial contractility, while simultaneously stimulating the endothelial L-arginine/nitric oxide pathway to induce systemic vasodilation. This combined effect significantly lowers peripheral vascular resistance and systemic blood pressure without adversely affecting metabolic parameters.

Purpose

To treat essential hypertension and manage stable mild-to-moderate chronic heart failure in elderly patients as an adjunct therapy.

Warnings

Do not abruptly discontinue therapy as sudden cessation of beta-blockers can precipitate severe rebound hypertension or myocardial infarction. Monitor heart rate and blood pressure regularly; contraindicated in patients with severe bradycardia, cardiogenic shock, or second/third-degree heart block. Use with extreme caution in patients with peripheral vascular diseases like Raynaud's phenomenon or bronchospastic disorders like asthma. Adjust the dosage regimen carefully or perform close clinical monitoring in patients presenting with moderate-to-severe renal or hepatic impairment.

Side Effects

Central nervous system effects including transient headaches, dizziness, vertigo, or a feeling of general fatigue. Gastrointestinal disruptions such as mild nausea, temporary diarrhea, constipation, or excessive abdominal flatulence. Peripheral symptoms including cold extremities, paresthesia, mild dyspnea, or localized peripheral edema. Neurological variations such as vivid dreams, sleep disturbances, or minor depressive changes in sensitive patients.
