Warnings

Ensure the patient remains completely quiet, seated upright, and resting for 5 minutes before initiating a measurement cycle. The arm cuff must be accurately positioned at the level of the right atrium (heart level) to avoid false high or low readings. Do not interpret home readings as a direct reason to modify prescription medication dosages without consulting a physician. Replace internal batteries promptly when the low-power indicator activates to avoid erratic sensor calculations.

Side Effects

Minor temporary skin indentation or redness from cuff compression. Transient mild discomfort or a squeezing sensation during peak inflation. False error readouts if the patient moves or talks during the cycle. Small localized bruising if applied over highly fragile or senile capillaries.
