Certeza Pulse Oximeter (Po 905)
A portable fingertip diagnostic device for non-invasive monitoring of blood oxygen levels and pulse rate.
Certeza Pulse Oximeter (Po 905) is a compact, highly accurate non-invasive diagnostic instrument engineered to monitor peripheral blood oxygen saturation ($SpO_2$) and pulse frequency. By passing dual wavelengths of light through a translucent capillary bed (usually a fingertip), it measures the precise ratio of oxygenated hemoglobin to total hemoglobin.
Purpose
Emits and calculates dual-spectrum light absorption through a capillary bed to determine oxygen saturation.
Ingredients
Dual LED Light Sensors, Digital Microprocessor, Fingertip Clamp
Warnings
Keep the device completely steady during reading cycles; excessive movement or shivering can create massive artifact errors. Artificial fingernail extensions, dark nail polishes, or cold extremities can severely disrupt light transmission and lower accuracy. This device serves as an auxiliary physiological monitor; it must never replace comprehensive clinical evaluation of respiration. Clean the interior silicone sensor bed gently with a soft cloth moistened with medical alcohol after alternating users.
Side Effects
Temporary skin indentation or minor pressure mark on the fingertip. Mild cool sensation from the structural clamping mechanism. Inaccurate low readings if the patient has poor peripheral perfusion. Intermittent display dropouts if the finger is incorrectly aligned inside.
Storage Instructions
Keep in a clean, shock-absorbent case at room temperature, safe from moisture and strong magnetic fields.
