Dex D 60mg (30 Capsules / Pack)
A dual-release oral proton pump inhibitor (PPI) indicated for aggressive gastric acid suppression and GERD management.
Dex Dex Cap 30S (60mg) contains Dexlansoprazole, a potent proton pump inhibitor (PPI) engineered with a dual delayed-release delivery mechanism to provide sustained, 24-hour suppression of gastric acid. By binding irreversibly to the $H^+/K^+$ ATPase enzyme system in gastric parietal cells, it dramatically elevates gastric pH to facilitate the healing of erosive esophagitis and manage severe gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
Purpose
Irreversibly inhibits the gastric parietal cell proton pump to reduce hydrochloric acid secretion and promote esophageal tissue healing.
Ingredients
Dexlansoprazole 60mg
Warnings
Consume the capsule whole with a full glass of water; do not chew, crush, or open the internal modified-release granules. Prolonged continuous use exceeding 3 years can precipitate severe systemic malabsorption of vital cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12). Chronically high daily dosages are clinically associated with an increased long-term risk of osteoporosis-related bone fractures. Instruct the patient to immediately report signs of severe, persistent watery diarrhea, which could indicate a Clostridioides difficile infection.
Side Effects
Low-grade frontal headache, mild morning dizziness, or temporary fatigue. Gastrointestinal changes including mild diarrhea, flatulence, abdominal pain, or nausea. Dryness of the mouth, throat irritation, or minor adjustments in daily taste perception. Rare, localized skin hypersensitivity reactions such as transient pruritus or low-grade hives.
Storage Instructions
Store safely below 25°C in a dry place, keeping the therapeutic bottle hermetically sealed against humidity.
