Dioplus H 10/160/12.5mg (14 Tablet / Pack) is a triple-action fixed-dose combination oral antihypertensive medication formulated for severe hypertension management. It works through three distinct pharmacological pathways: amlodipine blocks calcium channels to induce vascular smooth muscle relaxation, valsartan antagonizes angiotensin II type 1 receptors to prevent vasoconstriction, and hydrochlorothiazide inhibits renal sodium reabsorption to decrease intravascular fluid volume. This therapeutic triad delivers deep systemic vasodilation and volume reduction to lower blood pressure effectively.

Purpose

To treat essential hypertension in adult patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled on dual-combination therapies.

Amlodipine Besylate 10mg, Valsartan 160mg, Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5mg

Warnings

Strictly contraindicated during pregnancy; discontinue immediately if conception occurs due to the risk of severe fetal injury or death. Monitor serum electrolytes regularly as the thiazide diuretic component can precipitate hypokalemia, hyponatremia, and hypercalcemia. Can cause severe orthostatic hypotension and syncope; use with extreme caution in patients with severe coronary artery disease. Adjust the dose carefully or perform close clinical monitoring in patients presenting with moderate-to-severe renal or hepatic impairment.

Side Effects

Peripheral edema or significant localized swelling of the lower extremities due to high-dose amlodipine vasodilation. Dizziness, postural lightheadedness, headaches, vertigo, or a feeling of profound physical fatigue. Electrolyte disturbances including hypokalemia, hyponatremia, hyperuricemia, or transient blood glucose elevations. Gastrointestinal upset such as mild nausea, dyspepsia, diarrhea, constipation, or temporary loss of appetite.
