Dioplus H 5/160/12.5mg (14 Tablet / Pack)
A triple-action antihypertensive tablet combining amlodipine, valsartan, and hydrochlorothiazide for advanced blood pressure management.
Dioplus H 5/160/12.5mg (14 Tablet / Pack) is a multi-component oral antihypertensive tablet combining three distinct drug classes for optimal blood pressure reduction. It works through co-administered mechanisms where amlodipine induces peripheral arterial vasodilation, valsartan blocks the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system to prevent vessel narrowing, and hydrochlorothiazide acts as a thiazide diuretic to promote diuresis and reduce plasma volume. This synergistic interaction controls moderate-to-severe high blood pressure while minimizing dose-dependent side effects of individual agents.
Purpose
To treat essential hypertension in patients who require a multi-mechanism approach to achieve targeted blood pressure control.
Ingredients
Amlodipine Besylate 5mg, Valsartan 160mg, Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5mg
Warnings
Discontinue the medication immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy due to the risk of fetal toxicity and severe injury caused by ARBs. Use with caution in patients with a history of gout or diabetes, as hydrochlorothiazide can elevate serum uric acid and glucose levels. Monitor renal function and creatinine clearance closely, especially in patients with pre-existing bilateral renal artery stenosis. Avoid concurrent administration with lithium, as the diuretic component reduces renal lithium clearance and increases toxicity risks.
Side Effects
Mild-to-moderate peripheral ankle edema or localized fluid retention due to amlodipine-induced arterial dilation. Postural dizziness, lightheadedness, tension headache, or transient orthostatic hypotension upon standing. Electrolyte imbalances such as decreased potassium, decreased sodium, or increased serum uric acid levels. Gastrointestinal side effects including mild nausea, epigastric discomfort, or transient loose stools.
Storage Instructions
Store below 30°C in a dry place, shield from direct heat and moisture, and preserve in the original blister pack.
