Dopacone 200/50/200mg (10 Tablet / Pack)
A premium triple-combination therapy engineered for precise motor symptom management in Parkinson's disease.
Dopacone Tablets contain a precise triple-combination therapy of Levodopa, Carbidopa, and Entacapone. Levodopa serves as a metabolic precursor that crosses the blood-brain barrier to replace depleted dopamine levels in the corpus striatum, while Carbidopa acts as a peripheral dopa-decarboxylase inhibitor to prevent the premature breakdown of Levodopa outside the brain. Entacapone functions as a selective, reversible inhibitor of catechol-O-methyltransferase (COMT), extending the therapeutic plasma half-life of Levodopa to significantly minimize 'wearing-off' motor fluctuations.
Purpose
Used for the treatment of patients with Parkinson's disease who experience end-of-dose motor fluctuations not adequately managed by standard levodopa/dopa decarboxylase inhibitor combinations.
Ingredients
Levodopa 200mg + Carbidopa 50mg + Entacapone 200mg
