Encrylin 5mg (10 Tablet / Pack)
A selective oral DPP-4 inhibitor antihyperglycemic agent indicated for managing Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.
Encrylin 5mg (10 Tablet / Pack) contains Linagliptin, a highly selective, potent dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor engineered for the comprehensive management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. By preventing the enzymatic degradation of incretin hormones (GLP-1 and GIP), it increases glucose-dependent insulin secretion from pancreatic beta cells while suppressing inappropriate glucagon release from alpha cells.
Purpose
Prolongs active systemic incretin levels to boost glucose-dependent insulin release and suppress hepatic glucose production.
Ingredients
Linagliptin 5mg
Warnings
Utilize strictly as an auxiliary adjunct to a structured, clinician-approved dietary plan and routine physical exercise program. Monitor the patient closely for severe, unyielding abdominal pain that could clinically indicate the development of acute pancreatitis. Unlike other antidiabetic agents, linagliptin is primarily eliminated unchanged via bile and feces, requiring no renal dose adjustments. Co-administration with insulin or sulfonylureas can dramatically amplify hypoglycemia risks, necessitating a baseline dose reduction.
Side Effects
Mild nasopharyngitis, upper respiratory tract irritation, or low-grade dry coughing. Transient joint pain (arthralgia) or localized musculoskeletal discomfort. Minor, self-limiting nausea, low-grade flatulence, or mild abdominal fullness. Potential for localized hypersensitivity reactions including low-grade pruritus or minor rashes.
Storage Instructions
Store below 30°C in its original blister pack, perfectly shielded from high humidity and intense heat.
