Ezolid 600mg (12 Tablet / Pack) contains Linezolid, a potent synthetic oxazolidinone antibacterial agent engineered specifically for the treatment of severe, complicated infections caused by susceptible Gram-positive pathogens. It functions uniquely by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit, preventing the formation of the functional 70S initiation complex, thereby completely halting bacterial protein synthesis.

Purpose

Disrupts the assembly of the bacterial 70S ribosomal initiation complex to comprehensively halt microbial protein synthesis.

Warnings

Complete the entire prescribed course exactly as directed by your clinician to prevent the development of drug-resistant strains. Monitor complete blood counts (CBC) weekly, as prolonged use exceeding 14 days can induce severe reversible myelosuppression. Linezolid is a weak, reversible monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI); avoid tyramine-rich foods to prevent severe hypertensive crises. Immediately report any sudden changes in visual acuity or color perception, as long-term use can induce optic neuropathy.

Side Effects

Transient gastrointestinal upset including nausea, vomiting, mild diarrhea, or tongue discoloration. Low-grade headache, dizziness, or a brief alteration in daily taste sensation (dysgeusia). Localized oral or vaginal candidiasis (thrush) due to secondary opportunistic fungal overgrowth. Minor transient elevations in localized hepatic transaminase enzymes on liver panels.
