Feminiq is a combined hormonal formulation engineered to manage severe androgen-dependent dermatological conditions and provide reliable oral contraception. The active pharmaceutical ingredients operate via a dual-action endocrine pathway: Cyproterone Acetate acts as a potent competitive antagonist at peripheral androgen receptors, inhibiting the binding of circulating dihydrotestosterone (DHT) to suppress hyperactive sebaceous gland excretion and minimize terminal hair follicle stimulation. Concurrently, Ethinyl Estradiol functions as a synthetic estrogen that downregulates luteinizing hormone (LH) secretion from the anterior pituitary, reducing ovarian androgen production while providing menstrual cycle regulation and stabilizing the endometrial lining.

Purpose

Indicated for the treatment of severe androgen-dependent acne vulgaris, pronounced hirsutism (excessive facial or body hair), hidradenitis suppurativa, and for temporary oral contraception in women experiencing these conditions.

Warnings

Contraindicated in patients with a history of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism, myocardial infarction, cerebrovascular accidents, or a known hereditary predisposition to blood clotting disorders. Do not use if diagnosed with or suspected of having estrogen-dependent malignancies (such as breast or endometrial cancer), severe hepatic impairment, undiagnosed vaginal bleeding, or during pregnancy and lactation. Cigarette smoking significantly escalates the risk of serious cardiovascular adverse effects; patients over 35 years old must be advised to completely cease smoking or seek alternative therapies. Blood pressure and liver enzymes should be monitored periodically.

Side Effects

Nausea, abdominal pain, localized breast tenderness or enlargement, minor fluctuations in body weight, headache, or transient mood changes.

Storage Instructions

Store in a cool, dry place below 30°C (86°F), strictly shielded from direct heat, high humidity, and intense sunlight. Keep the blister package intact inside its carton to protect the tablets from environmental degradation. Keep out of reach of children.
