Purpose

Blends a calcium channel blocker with an angiotensin II blocker to lower systemic blood pressure and protect cardiac function.

Ingredients

Amlodipine (as Besylate) 5mg, Valsartan 160mg

Warnings

Meticulously monitor blood pressure readings at home to ensure values remain stable within your target therapeutic zone. Inform your treating physician immediately if you experience persistent dry coughing or sudden localized facial swelling. Concomitant utilization of potassium supplements or potassium-sparing diuretics must be avoided to prevent hyperkalemia. Restrict the concurrent consumption of grapefruit juice, as it can significantly alter the metabolic clearance of the drug.

Side Effects

Mild temporary ankle swelling or localized fluid retention. Lightheadedness, temporary dizziness, or a low-grade headache post-ingestion. Occasional transient skin flushing or a sensation of localized warmth. Minor gastrointestinal adjustments, such as mild flatulence or nausea.
