Fusac Cream (5g)
A targeted topical antibacterial cream containing 2% fusidic acid used to treat localized superficial bacterial skin infections.
Fusac Cream (5g) is a targeted topical antibacterial preparation formulated with fusidic acid to eradicate localized dermatological infections. It works by entering bacterial cells and selectively binding to elongation factor G (EF-G), which inhibits bacterial protein synthesis and stops cellular translation. This powerful bacteriostatic action prevents the replication and spread of susceptible pathogens, particularly Staphylococcus aureus, allowing the skin tissue to clear superficial primary and secondary infections rapidly.
Purpose
To eliminate primary and secondary skin infections such as impetigo, folliculitis, furuncles, and infected dermatoses caused by susceptible bacteria.
Ingredients
Fusidic Acid 2% w/w
Warnings
For external dermatological use only and must be kept completely away from the eyes, eyelids, and open mucosal surfaces. Do not apply continuously over extensive body surface areas or for long durations to prevent the development of localized bacterial resistance. Discontinue the application immediately and wash the area thoroughly if severe allergic reactions or contact dermatitis occur. Ensure the affected skin area is thoroughly cleaned and dried prior to applying a thin film of the cream.
Side Effects
Localized skin reactions including mild, transient stinging, burning sensations, or minor irritation at the application site. Cutaneous hypersensitivity developments such as mild pruritus, localized erythema, or skin rashes. Rare instances of localized contact dermatitis or worsening of the pre-existing inflammatory skin lesions. Minor skin dryness or flaking of the superficial epidermal layer following prolonged repeated application.
Storage Instructions
Store below 30°C in a dry environment, do not freeze the cream, and keep the tube tightly capped after use.
