Herbiotics Prezoom is a targeted phytotherapeutic supplement engineered to support prostate health and mitigate androgenic alopecia (male pattern baldness). The active pharmaceutical ingredient, Saw Palmetto extract, functions primarily as a lipidosterolic inhibitor of the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase. By blocking this specific enzyme, it curtails the peripheral conversion of circulating testosterone into its highly potent metabolite, dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Lowered intraprostatic DHT levels reduce the cellular proliferation of prostate tissue, alleviating mechanical compression on the prostatic urethra to enhance urinary flow. Simultaneously, suppressing systemic DHT prevents the miniaturization of scalp hair follicles, successfully preserving the anagen (growth) phase of the hair cycle.

Purpose

Indicated for the symptomatic management of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), frequent nocturnal urination (nocturia), weak urinary stream, and androgenic alopecia.

Warnings

Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Saw Palmetto or any botanical constituents of the family Arecaceae. Because of its anti-androgenic mechanism, this product is strictly contraindicated for use by pregnant or lactating women due to the high risk of inducing developmental abnormalities in a male fetus. Patients with a history of bleeding disorders or those scheduled for elective surgical procedures must use caution and discontinue use 2 weeks pre-operatively, as lipidosterolic extracts can mildly prolong bleeding times. Monitor liver function parameters if utilized long-term in chronic hepatic impairment.

Side Effects

Mild gastrointestinal complaints such as transient nausea, dyspepsia, mild abdominal pain, or diarrhea.
