Methycobal SL 1000mcg (20 Tablet / Pack)
A high-potency oral sublingual Vitamin B12 tablet indicated for the management of peripheral neuropathy, megaloblastic anemia, and structural nerve repair.
Methycobal SL 1000mcg (20 Tablet / Pack) contains Methylcobalamin, the neurologically active coenzyme form of Vitamin B12 formulated as a sublingual (SL) fast-dissolving tablet. By delivering the nutrient directly through the oral sublingual mucosa, it completely bypasses the gastrointestinal absorption pathways that rely on intrinsic factor, making it exceptionally effective for individuals with malabsorption disorders. Within the nervous system, it acts directly as a primary methyl donor to upregulate nucleic acid, protein, and lipid synthesis, driving the critical regeneration and structural maintenance of the myelin sheath protecting damaged peripheral nerves.
Purpose
Bypasses gastric absorption to deliver bioactive methylcobalamin directly to the bloodstream, fueling myelin sheath regeneration and red blood cell maturation.
Ingredients
Methylcobalamin 1000mcg
Warnings
Place the tablet strictly underneath the tongue and allow it to dissolve completely whole; do not swallow, chew, or crush the tablet with water. Long-term concurrent use of biguanides (like metformin) or proton pump inhibitors (like omeprazole) can heavily suppress baseline endogenous B12 absorption. Completely contraindicated in individuals presenting with a documented underlying hypersensitivity to cobalt or any cobalamin derivatives. Patients presenting with Leber's hereditary optic neuropathy must avoid use, as high-dose cobalamin therapies can precipitate acute optic atrophy.
Side Effects
A normal, mild melting or tingling sensation localized across the sublingual mucosa during dissolution. Low-grade gastrointestinal adjustments including transient nausea, a brief loss of appetite, or self-limiting mild diarrhea. Central nervous system variations including minor transient headache, hot flashes, or brief morning lightheadedness. Rare dermatological adjustments including minor localized skin rash, superficial pruritus, or transient hives in highly sensitive individuals.
Storage Instructions
Store below 25°C in a dry environment, keeping the tablets tightly sealed inside their original blister sheets to protect against direct light degradation.
