Platlo Plus is a dual-action antiplatelet formulation engineered to provide robust antithrombotic protection against ischemic cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events. The active pharmaceutical ingredients disrupt platelet aggregation through two distinct biochemical pathways: Clopidogrel is a prodrug that undergoes hepatic activation to selectively and irreversibly bind to platelet P2Y12 adenosine diphosphate (ADP) receptors, preventing downstream ADP-mediated activation of the glycoprotein IIb/IIIa complex. Simultaneously, Aspirin (Acetylsalicylic Acid) permanently acetylates the cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) enzyme, completely blocking the synthesis of thromboxane A2, a potent platelet aggregator and vasoconstrictor. Together, this complementary mechanism effectively prevents the formation of occlusive arterial thrombi in high-risk patients.

Purpose

Indicated for the secondary prevention of atherothrombotic events in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS), following myocardial infarction, ischemic stroke, peripheral arterial disease, or recent coronary artery stent placement.

Warnings

Contraindicated in patients with active pathological bleeding, such as peptic ulcer disease, intracranial hemorrhage, or severe hemophilia. Avoid use in individuals with severe hepatic or renal impairment, or a known hypersensitivity to aspirin, NSAIDs, or clopidogrel. Due to the high risk of Reye's syndrome, this product is strictly contraindicated in children and adolescents recovering from viral infections. Discontinue therapy 5 to 7 days prior to planned elective surgeries or dental procedures to reduce excessive surgical bleeding risks. Patients taking concurrent anticoagulants or NSAIDs require intensive monitoring due to an amplified risk of gastrointestinal bleeding.

Side Effects

Epistaxis (nosebleeds), gastrointestinal discomfort, dyspepsia, abdominal pain, easy skin bruising (purpura), and minor hematomas.

Store in a cool, dry place below 25°C (77°F), strictly protected from absolute moisture, humidity, and direct sunlight. Keep the blister pack securely stored inside its carton shell to preserve formulation stability. Keep out of reach of children.
