Plazo Suspension (25ml)
A broad-spectrum macrolide antibiotic oral suspension used for treating various mild-to-moderate bacterial infections in pediatric and adult patients.
Plazo Suspension (25ml) is a broad-spectrum macrolide antibiotic oral suspension formulated with azithromycin to treat a variety of bacterial infections. It works by binding reversibly to the 50S ribosomal subunit of susceptible microorganisms, effectively inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis and preventing cellular translocation. This action halts bacterial replication and permits the host's immune system to clear infections of the respiratory tract, skin, and middle ear.
Purpose
To eradicate susceptible bacterial pathogens causing respiratory tract, throat, middle ear, and localized soft tissue infections.
Ingredients
Azithromycin 200mg / 5ml
Warnings
Do not use in patients with a history of cholestatic jaundice or hepatic dysfunction associated with prior azithromycin therapy. Exercise extreme caution in patients with known proarrhythmic conditions due to the risk of QT interval prolongation and torsades de pointes. Discontinue administration immediately if signs of a serious allergic response or angioedema develop during the treatment course. Complete the entire prescribed duration of therapy to avoid the development of antimicrobial resistance and secondary bacterial superinfections.
Side Effects
Gastrointestinal distress including diarrhea, loose stools, nausea, vomiting, and localized abdominal pain. Transient elevations in liver enzymes or mild, self-limiting hepatic irritation. Temporary disturbances in taste or minor headaches following oral ingestion. Dermatological reactions including mild skin rashes or localized pruritus.
Storage Instructions
Store below 30°C in a dry environment before reconstitution; once mixed with water, store between 2-8°C and discard after 5 days.
