Pregabalin 82.5mg controlled-release for neuropathic pain.
Preneu Cr 82.5mg contains pregabalin in a controlled-release formulation. It binds to the alpha-2-delta subunit of voltage-gated calcium channels, reducing nerve excitability. Used for neuropathic pain (e.g. diabetic neuropathy, postherpetic neuralgia). Taken once daily after the evening meal. Pack of 14 capsules.
Purpose
Treatment of neuropathic pain in adults (e.g. diabetic peripheral neuropathy, postherpetic neuralgia).
Ingredients
Pregabalin 82.5mg (controlled-release) per capsule.
Warnings
Do not stop abruptly; taper to avoid withdrawal. May cause dizziness and drowsiness; avoid driving until you know how it affects you. Avoid alcohol.
Side Effects
Dizziness, somnolence, headache, peripheral edema, weight gain, blurred vision.
