Rifaximin 200mg tablets for gut bacterial overgrowth.
Rifagut (200mg) 10 Tablets contains rifaximin, a non-absorbable antibiotic for bacterial overgrowth in the gut (e.g. travellers' diarrhoea, hepatic encephalopathy). The 200mg strength is for twice or three times daily dosing. Take as directed; complete the full course.
Purpose
Treatment of travellers' diarrhoea; reduction of risk of hepatic encephalopathy recurrence; treatment of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS-D) when prescribed.
Ingredients
Rifaximin 200mg per tablet.
Warnings
Complete the full course. Report allergic reaction. Not for systemic infections. Caution in severe hepatic impairment.
Side Effects
Nausea, abdominal pain, flatulence, headache. Rare: allergic reactions. Report severe diarrhoea or rash.
