Safgo Met (2/500mg) 30 Tablets combines sitagliptin 2mg (likely 50mg) and metformin 500mg for type 2 diabetes. Take as directed with meals. Prescription only. Risk of hypoglycaemia if combined with other antidiabetics.
Purpose
Treatment of type 2 diabetes when combination therapy is indicated.
Ingredients
Sitagliptin 50mg and metformin hydrochloride 500mg per tablet (or strengths as per pack); 30 tablets.
Warnings
Prescription only. Avoid alcohol. Report signs of lactic acidosis. Not for type 1 diabetes.
Side Effects
GI upset, hypoglycaemia. Rare: lactic acidosis, pancreatitis. Report severe abdominal pain or persistent nausea.
