Talfil 5mg Tablets contain Tadalafil, a reversible and selective phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor. It maintains elevated levels of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) in the corpus cavernosum and the smooth muscle of the prostate and bladder, promoting arterial relaxation and increasing blood flow to support erectile function and relieve lower urinary tract symptoms.

Purpose

Used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction and the management of signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in adult men.

Warnings

Absolutely contraindicated in patients using any form of organic nitrates or nitric oxide donors due to the risk of profound, life-threatening hypotension.

Evaluate cardiovascular status thoroughly; do not initiate therapy if sexual activity is inadvisable due to pre-existing cardiac conditions.

Seek emergency medical intervention if an erection lasts longer than 4 hours (priapism) to avoid permanent erectile tissue damage.

Avoid excessive alcohol consumption while taking this medication, as it may enhance orthostatic hypotensive effects.
