Traconol 100mg (4 Capsule / Pack)
A broad-spectrum oral triazole antifungal capsule indicated for vulvovaginal candidiasis, dermatophytosis, and deep systemic mycoses.
Traconol 100mg (4 Capsule / Pack) contains Itraconazole, a highly potent, broad-spectrum synthetic triazole antifungal agent engineered for the treatment of systemic and superficial mycoses. It acts within the fungal cell membrane by selectively inhibiting the fungal cytochrome P450-dependent enzyme $14\alpha$-demethylase, which completely blocks the conversion of lanosterol to ergosterol, disrupting membrane integrity to halt fungal replication.
Purpose
Inhibits fungal ergosterol synthesis to compromise microbial cell membrane permeability, effectively destroying invading fungal pathogens.
Ingredients
Itraconazole 100mg
Warnings
Must be swallowed completely whole immediately following a dense, full meal to achieve maximum systemic intestinal absorption. Absolutely contraindicated in patients presenting with clinical evidence of ventricular dysfunction or a history of congestive heart failure. Co-administration with potent CYP3A4 substrates (like simvastatin or midazolam) is strictly prohibited due to life-threatening drug interactions. Monitor hepatic enzyme profiles closely during extended therapy, as itraconazole carries a documented risk of severe hepatotoxicity.
Side Effects
Gastrointestinal upset including low-grade nausea, localized abdominal pain, vomiting, or temporary diarrhea. Frontal headache, temporary lightheadedness, postural dizziness, or generalized physical fatigue. Transient elevations in hepatic transaminase enzymes or localized fluid retention (peripheral edema). Potential for localized skin rashes, intense pruritus, or transient hives in highly sensitive individuals.
Storage Instructions
Store below 25°C in a thoroughly dry room, keeping the moisture-sensitive capsules safely inside their original blister strip.
