Trichogin (20 Tablet / Pack) contains Tinidazole, a highly potent anti-protozoal and anaerobic antibacterial agent belonging to the nitroimidazole class. It functions by entering the microbial cell wall, where its nitro group is chemically reduced, generating highly reactive free radicals that disrupt and cleave microbial DNA structures.

Purpose

Disrupts microbial DNA synthesis to eradicate Trichomonas, Giardia, Amoebae, and specific anaerobic bacteria.

Warnings

Patients must absolutely avoid all alcoholic beverages during therapy and for 72 hours after the final dose to prevent a disulfiram-like reaction. Contraindicated in patients with a history of blood dyscrasias or active, organic central nervous system disorders. Co-administration during the first trimester of pregnancy is not recommended; consult a clinician for alternative regimens. Complete the entire course precisely as prescribed to ensure complete eradication and avoid microbial resistance.

Side Effects

A prominent, unpleasant metallic taste in the mouth or dry tongue. Transient gastrointestinal upset, including nausea, anorexia, or abdominal pain. Temporary dizziness, mild vertigo, or generalized fatigue. Transient, mild reductions in total white blood cell counts (leukopenia).
