Truflex (20 Tablet / Pack) contains Aceclofenac and Thiocolchicoside, a powerful fixed-dose combination oral medication combining a potent non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with a selective muscle relaxant. Aceclofenac works by executing competitive inhibition of cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2) to completely halt inflammatory prostaglandin synthesis, while Thiocolchicoside operates centrally as a competitive $GABA_A$ receptor antagonist and glycinergic agonist to suppress localized motor neuron hyperactivity, delivering rapid relief from painful muscle spasms, skeletal stiffness, and joint inflammation.

Purpose

Inhibits peripheral prostaglandin synthesis while modulating central GABAergic/glycinergic pathways to simultaneously eliminate tissue inflammation and relax tense muscle fibers.

Warnings

Must be taken strictly with or immediately following a full meal to minimize the clinical risk of acute gastrointestinal mucosal irritation or bleeding. Avoid concurrent consumption of alcohol or central nervous system sedatives, as they can heavily amplify the risk of drowsiness and coordination loss. Completely contraindicated in individuals presenting with active peptic ulcers, severe hepatic impairment, or a clinical history of NSAID-induced asthma. Instruct the patient to strictly follow the daily dosing duration, as extended or improper use of thiocolchicoside carries cell-division warnings.

Side Effects

Epigastric burning, localized heartburn, temporary nausea, or upper abdominal indigestion (dyspepsia). Central nervous system effects including mild daytime drowsiness, temporary dizziness, lightheadedness, or brief physical fatigue. Gastrointestinal shifts including minor diarrhea, temporary flatulence, or self-limiting localized stomach cramps. Potential for minor localized skin hypersensitivity reactions such as a transient faint rash, itching, or superficial hives.
