Vilcret Plus 50/850mg Tablets are an oral prescription combination hypoglycemic medication indicated for adults diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It combines a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor with a biguanide to reduce hepatic glucose output while enhancing peripheral muscle glucose uptake. This synergistic approach effectively controls postprandial and fasting blood glucose levels when metformin monotherapy is insufficient.

Vildagliptin 50mg, Metformin HCl 850mg
Warnings
High risk of rare but serious metabolic lactic acidosis, especially in renal impairment. Contraindicated in patients with severe renal failure or acute metabolic acidosis conditions. Temporarily discontinue the medication prior to undergoing surgeries or iodinated contrast imaging. Monitor liver and kidney functions regularly throughout the treatment course.
