Zoleta 2.5mg (30 Tablet / Pack) contains Letrozole, a highly potent, non-steroidal aromatase inhibitor meticulously engineered for the adjuvant treatment of postmenopausal women with hormone receptor-positive early or advanced breast cancer. It functions by competitively binding to the heme subunit of the aromatase enzyme, preventing the peripheral conversion of androgens into estrogens, thereby drastically reducing circulating estrogen levels to starve hormone-dependent tumor cells.

Purpose

Inhibits the aromatase enzyme to suppress peripheral estrogen synthesis and arrest the proliferation of breast tumor cells.

Warnings

Formulated strictly for use in postmenopausal women; absolutely contraindicated during pregnancy due to severe, fatal fetal teratogenicity. Routinely evaluate baseline and periodic bone mineral density (BMD) parameters, as profound estrogen suppression increases the risk of osteoporosis. Instruct the patient to report severe, unyielding bone or joint pain, which may require parallel bisphosphonate therapeutic management. Can induce significant hypercholesterolemia; monitor fasting lipid profiles periodically during extended oncological treatment courses.

Side Effects

Hot flashes, transient facial flushing, increased nocturnal sweating, or generalized physical fatigue. Musculoskeletal changes including arthralgia (joint pain), bone pain, localized muscle stiffness, or myalgia. Frontal headache, temporary dizziness, lightheadedness, or mild daytime drowsiness. Hypercholesterolemia, low-grade weight shifts, or transient thinning of hair (alopecia).
